Over 2500 items of Explosive Ordnance scrap from a former decommissioning facility were safely recovered from the client’s site. In this instance, the items were non-ferrous and could not be detected using magnetometers, so a Watching Brief approach was adopted. Even though these items were not explosive filled, the attendance of trained specialists to recover and safely manage these articles allowed the site to remain open throughout.
